Once Upon a Time

Once upon a time...
there was a little orphan
that dreamed of being a princess and
having a family of her very own.

Princess Amaris Nanette

has joined our castle now for 2 weeks... and, she has joined her beloved sister...

Princess Gabriella Grace

We have stepped up the Princess Tea Party a notch!

And we lived Happily Ever After!

The Girl's Castle Room... Once Upon a Time

The girls castle room...

Photo shoots are always fun... you never know who is going to do what...

Our "Couples" Photo for Gia's Dossier

Trying to take a "couples" photo for our dossier that will go to China to bring Gia home...
one problem: there were two little monkeys that kept wanting to get into our picture...
so, here's our "couples" photo.

Princess Tea with Jie Jie

Gabriella and Amaris really enjoy their kitchen, dishes, and food.  Today I attempted to help them learn some sister skills by teaching them how to interact with one another through pretend play.

Amaris is Princess Aurora (Sleeping Beauty)... the pink princess
Gabriella is Princess Cinderella... the blue princess
Giavanna's princess hasn't been fully determined... but, right now she is Mulan (Hoping Giselle will return though)
Annabella is Princess Belle... the yellow princess
Amelia (Mia... our wished-for child) is The Little Mermaid (the one who wishes for everything)... the purple and green princess (we are making it purple though to keep the girls items straight!)

Before they went to bed, they wanted to play some more, so I let them. I found Gu Gu Corban playing with them too... but, because he is 14, when he saw me grab the camera, he took a dive out of the room... he couldn't be caught in a photo of princess wear.

Her China Wardrobe

In an effort to post more photos from China, I am hoping to back track a little this week and fill in some gaps.

While I am pretty faithful to the Naartjie clothing line here in America, I LOVE the clothes I find in China. Sometimes I end up paying far more than I would even think to pay for the girls Naartjie outfits, but they are cute, cute, cute. Sometimes I get real bargains in China and pay about $2 per item. It all depends.

Some of the fun loot we found for Gabriella, Giavanna and Amaris while in China!

It's frustrating when there is only 2 of something in an entire store, but the skirt and pants above
were way too cute to pass up. Sorry Gia but this is an outfit you will miss!

Size 120, 110, and 90

Seriously over-priced red dresses... that I wanted in pink and white as well.
I paid a fortune for these dresses above.
The only item I ever paid more for in China was Gabriella's Prada dress a couple years ago.

Little princess foo foo belts... I may have to learn to sew to make them the correct size for the girls.

These bows are very special... there are actually THREE... this is Baba's very first purchase
for the any of the girls and he was smart enough (Thank you Tyanna) to purchase 3...
I think Amaris' hair pretty has gone missing because Gabriella likes to wear hers and Gia's.

Baba's tiny hair pretties...

Here are the girls in some of their outfits I found...

I should re-take all these photos... it will be 4 weeks with our littlest monkey on Monday...
It was almost 3 weeks before we consistently saw smiles, but about 10 days (if I remember correctly),
that we actually got smiles... a little delayed, because most smile on day 3.

But, we have smiles every day all the time now... she even says "Cheese!" for all her photos.
