Playing Before Bedtime!
Gabriella and Amaris really enjoy playing with each other when we are in the hotel, just before bedtime and when we wake up in the morning.
They currently are not talking with one another, but should be within another day.

She Can Feed Herself!
Okay, I have to admit, on Monday when we got Amaris, she had NO IDEA how to chew food or drink a liquid. NO IDEA. But tonight, she is a total professional... I don't get it.
MAYBE she was ticked off that she just left the only people and only environment she knew, but she would have been hungry and she didn't have any idea how to use her tongue to move food or such, nor her teeth to chew. So, how can she do this today?
Look what she is doing at dinner tonight at the local Thai restaurant. I think the kid is a genius!

Getting the Girl's Pearls
Today we went to the Pearl Market... it was a gigantic mall... full of merchants with jewelry... only jewelry... jewelry to buy and products to make your own jewelry... GAZILLIONS and GAZILLIONS and GAZILLIONS of jewels... real and fake.
This gal is making Amaris' first pearl necklace. She is using the same clasps that we chose for Tyanna and Gabriella's necklaces. When we return for Giavanna later in the year, we will have Giavanna's necklace made for her as well.
Baba is ready to shop... Tyanna said it was 45 minutes before I ever handed the gal the money.
Ready to roll... or stroll...
Each of our 5 Chinese princesses got their own set of pink stud pearl earrings: Gabriella (adopted July 2010), Amaris (adopted June 2012), Giavanna (Currently in the paperwork chase... adopting Christmas 2012), Annabella and Amelia (waiting for God's timing and direction).
Amaris also got her own pearl necklace.
Mama got a couple pair of pearl earrings.
Jie Jie Tyanna wasn't interested in any pearls.
Paying the 800 yuan for the goods. Happy shopping indeed!

Amaris' "I Want My Mama" Cry, Re-Cap
Here's a look at some of her "I want my mama" cries. She reaches out for me, puckers her bottom lip, and sheds a couple tears and a few short lived (3-10 second) cries.
Amaris actually only cries when someone tries to pick her up other than me. She doesn't cry if she is hungry, the two times she was wet, etc... only for me. I have to be honest, I am loving her attention!
She's not messing around with either of these cries... They both were all-out "I want my Mama now!" cries. Baba wanted her to stay at breakfast, but she wanted to come with me. Once we left the restaurant, Tyanna wanted to help me and carry her to our room. Amaris was not going to have anything to do with it.

The 15 Second TB Follow Up Test
Today was our follow-up TB test... I think every chair in the clinic had someone sitting in it. But, we walked off the elevator, into the room where another patient was, that patient left (I am not sure he was done or not), or guide pulled out a piece of paper to record the TB results on, the "doctor" looked at Amaris' arm, wrote a being "Zero" on the paper, and we walked out.
I am so glad Tyanna had the camera ready to go... we literally sat down, had her arm checked and left all in less than 15 seconds. Literally!
If I could PhotoShop this photo, I would replace my face with the next photo and merge the two!
I am seriously still missing genuine sleep, make-up and a flat iron... so, this is the China look.
Our guide Eva is awesome. She is hired by Wasatch and works for a local travel agency. She is just working for our family these two weeks. Amaris willingly went to her, but she still gave the "I want my Mama" cry. She is such a lovey.
Here she is seconds later in our minivan... sitting on Gabriella's Cinderella cell phone.
