Amaris' Consulate Appointment

It's June 27 in China... but still June 26, 2012 in America.

Today, two years ago, my mom suddenly entered Heaven... completely healthy but with two sudden brain aneurisms. While the Lord had prepared me emotionally, three or four different times throughout our journey to Gabriella, and Jason and I both knew it, it was hard to hear the words from the Lord that my mom "would never meet Gabriella".

She is rejoicing in Heaven today... she gets to walk alongside Jesus, interact with our family that has gone before her, her friends that are there, new friends, hear the angels sing and be a part of God's beautiful design... while we miss her, I can't imagine her wanting to ever return... just as you wouldn't if you had a glimpse of Heaven.

To honor her celebration in Heaven, a year ago, I asked the Lord if we could have Amaris' Consulate Appointment with the US Government on June 26, 2012... and, He honored that request.

In 2011, I miraculously found Amaris... you can click on that story by scrolling down and looking on the right side column... June 20.

We were chosen to be her family on June 23, 2011.

And one year later, we left for China on June 15, 2012. We held Amaris in our arms Monday, June 18, 2012. Eighteen years after the Lord had given me a vision of two of our daughters.

Today, we took an oath for our daughter to become a US Citizen when we land in Seattle this Saturday at noon.

Hundreds of people outside or inside the building... but, we are an "Adoptive Family"... It is so nice to have our own room... our own line... personal service... there were probably 12 families their today with their child or children... We were the first family that responded to their call... because the oath was taken first, we were able to leave just a few minutes later...

It's so hard to get the "perfect" picture, but I can photoshop these two photos together and have the perfect picture later.
