Gabriella Got a Boo Boo... Again!

Today at 3pm we were heading to another appointment to take Amaris' photo for her Chinese passport.

As we were getting everyone ready to go, Gabriella was standing up, leaning next to a chair... and fell... right on her chin... AGAIN. This is the 3rd time that she has split it wide open since May. I don't fully understand the doctor's thinking about not stiching it up, but it seems to me that they should. Based on her original scars (in the same place) from China, she fell at least 3 times there as well. She just doesn't have the ability to catch herself yet, and it is impossible for us to be right next to her 24/7 to catch her if she does fall. She falls daily... but, falling on the chin is a problem.

I know that God is in the process of healing her little body and causing her cerebellum to be made whole, but her healing hasn't yet been fully manifested. Thus, she has issues with balance and does not yet walk. When she came to us in July 2010, she had ZERO balance. She has had several times where she has stood unassisted for 3 or more minutes at a time, with one miraculous timed and videoed standing of 6 minutes and 30 seconds. But, the majority of the time, it is 10-20 seconds before she falls. The trials between her healing are frustrating because I don't want to see our little princess suffer. She has already done so much suffering in the first 3 and a half years of her life, more suffering just breaks my heart.

In the vision the Lord gave me 18 years ago of our two, dark-haired, tan-skinned girls, they were standing in the grass with their shoulder length (or just beyond their shoulder) hair next to each other looking ahead as though they were looking at Jason and I. The taller girl smiled and ran in the grass behind her. We know, that the taller girl is Gabriella and that the smaller girl is Amaris... we know, of the 50 million orphans in the world, it was these two girls God showed me. So, we continue to believe for Gabriella's healing to come... we sing about it, pray about it and speak it multiple times a day. With Amaris now here by her side, it makes Gabriella's healing come even sooner.

Thank you for your prayers against infection as well as that her chin will permanently seal.

Gabriella is so in love with her baby sister... it just brings a smile to our faces.

Thinking that we had attempted (for the last 3 years) to bring two princesses home simultaneously, our hearts sank when 4 other families had done just that, but we hadn't...
what we have realized in our journey to Amaris, is that God knows His reasoning...
we know that Giavanna's paperwork was not yet ready... so, we wait... we wait for His perfect timing and care for our two blessings we have right now.

Amaris wasn't even born when we had received PA (Pre-Approval) for Gabriella.
Yet we KNOW that we KNOW that we KNOW, she was meant to be ours!

Most of the photos Amaris still looks away in... but, this will change soon.

Here's our princess... without her smile... but, she is looking right at us! She is a bundle of love!

A goodnight kiss from Jie Jie Tyanna!
